Turkey: fight against PKK terrorism, 27 October 2016
Four soldiers and a village guard were killed in PKK terrorist attacks in eastern Turkey. 5 PKK terrorists were "neutralized" in southeastern Turkey.
The PKK ( "Workers' Party of Kurdistan") is categorized as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and the EU. The group resumed its thirty-year long armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.
Since then, the PKK terrorist attacks killed over 800 members of Turkish security forces. They have also killed more than 350 civilians, including one hundred children. At least 8500 PKK terrorists were killed in army operations during the same period.
Police forces and the Turkish army launched attacks against positions of the separatist terrorist organization PKK and pursue its armed members in the south and southeast of the country and in northern Iraq in response to terrorist attacks by the organization within Turkey, which target civilians and members of security forces.
Soldier martyred in PKK attack in Bingöl
AA - Bingöl (Turquie) - Abdullah Çelik, Aydın Arık, Hatice Kesgin - One soldier was martyred in a PKK bomb attack in eastern Bingol province Thursday, according to a security source.
The soldier died immediately when terrorists detonated an improvised explosive device in Kizilmescit area near the bordering Tunceli province, the source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
On Wednesday, at least four people, including two police officers and a child were injured in another bomb attack in the province while a clash between security forces and PKK terrorists left a soldier martyred and another wounded Tuesday.
Previously on Sunday, two police officers were martyred when they were caught in a car bomb attack in Genc, a southern district of Bingol. The attack also left five officers and four civilians injured.

AA - Hakkari (Turquie) - Abdullah Çelik, Aydın Arık, Yılmaz Kazandıoğlu, Hatice Kesgin - Separately, another soldier was martyred in a mortar attack by PKK terrorists on a military base in Çukurca, southeastern Hakkari province, another security source said.
One other was seriously injured and hospitalized after stepping on a mine during an ongoing operation in Çukurca, the source added. Both sources spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
Three martyred in PKK attacks in Diyarbakır and Siirt
Par Hasan Namlı, Yılmaz Ekinci, İbrahim Torlak et Zekeriya Güneş - DİYARBAKIR / SİİRT, Turquie (AA) - Three security personnel were martyred Thursday in two separate PKK attacks in southeastern Turkey, according to security sources.
Two soldiers were martyred and two others wounded when terrorists detonated a previously-planted explosive device in Hani district of Diyarbakir province, a local security source said.
In another incident in Siirt province, a village guard was martyred when terrorists opened fire on the security forces during an operation in Mava Mountain area, another local source said.
Operations have been launched to nab the terrorists, the sources added.
5 PKK terrorists 'neutralized' in SE Turkey
Emin Avundukluoğlu - ANKARA (AA) - Five PKK terrorists have been "neutralized" in Turkey's southeastern Hakkari province, the military said Thursday.
In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said that the terrorists "neutralized" Wednesday in Cukurca district had been preparing to carry out a terrorist attack on the security forces.
Meanwhile, another PKK terrorist was captured in eastern Bingol province Wednesday, along with his AK-47 Kalashnikov rifle and two grenades, the statement said.
Security forces also seized rocket-propelled grenade launchers, rifles, grenades, and ammunition belonging to the terrorist group in four shelters in Hakkari, Bingol, and southern Antalya province, it added.
Separately, an air raid in Lice, southeastern Diyarbakir province destroyed several weapon emplacements and shelters belonging to the terrorist group.
