Mohamad Aldaher - AA / Ankara / Sarp Özer - At least five armed members of the "Kurdistan Workers' Party" (PKK) terrorist organization were killed in a bombing in the artillery bombings amidst security operations supported by Turkish Air Force in the southeast of Turkey and in northern Iraq in the last 24 hours, according to Turkish military sources.
Military sources told Anadolu under the seal of anonymity [not being allowed to make statements to the media], the artillery of the Turkish army targeted a terrorist site near Hakkurk camp, Northern Iraq, stating that two terrorists were killed in the bombing.
Moreover, the security forces launched an operation in the province of Şırnak (south-east), against a PKK terrorist position preparing to attack a Turkish Army position.
At least three terrorists were eliminated during this operation, the sources informed.
The Turkish artillery targeted a PKK checkpoint near the village of Kista in northern Iraq near the Turkish border, said military sources, mentioning that the operation resulted in the destruction of a terrorist shelter.
Several armed members of the PKK were killed in the bombing, the sources said, without mentioning any specific number.
